ABOUT DOUBLE STANDARD

The burger spot we wish we’d grown up with, and some have been chasing ever since. We serve all-natural American Wagyu burgers cooked on a flattop for those crispy edges and juicy centers, with fries fried the old-school way in beef tallow. No seed oils, no shortcuts. Around here, a double is the standard.

You’ll also find all-natural chicken tenders, sandwiches, and salads, along with hand-spun shakes and ice cream novelties from MooTime Creamery.

The space feels like a pop-culture shrine straight out of the late 20th century, with walls plastered with photos of rock bands, cult classic movies, superheroes, pop stars, classic album covers, and local San Diego landmarks, icons, and sports legends, all right here in Coronado. It’s a little loud, a lot nostalgic, and full of personality.

At the end of the day, we take our burgers seriously, but not ourselves.
